What makes a race a Boston qualifier?
Boston qualification is course- and edition-specific. A result must come from the certified full-marathon course inside the applicable qualifying window, and meeting the standard allows a runner to apply but does not guarantee entry. The B.A.A. can also adjust qualifying times from net-downhill courses. Review the current Boston qualifying times and downhill-course rules before choosing a race.
