How Marathon Scout works
Marathon Scout helps runners find current marathon dates, race guides, official results, live tracking links, and Boston qualifier context in one place. The site is built around a simple standard: useful race information should be current, sourced, and easy to check.
Marathon Scout is an independent race guide and results project for runners who want source-backed marathon information without digging through old links.
What we track
We focus on the details runners actually need: race dates, registration links, official results, live tracking, Boston qualifier status, course notes, weather context, and historical result links.
How we source race information
We prioritize official race websites, registration pages, timing providers, results pages, and race-linked live tracking. If a link or date cannot be checked against a strong source, we would rather leave it out than publish something shaky.
How date status works
A confirmed date means we found a strong source for that edition. A projected date is a planning signal, not a guarantee. TBD means the next edition is not posted clearly enough yet. Runners should still confirm final details with the race before registering or traveling.
What official results means
An official results link points to the race, its timing provider, or another results page clearly connected to that event. We avoid generic search pages, old redirects, and links that are not clearly for the marathon.
Corrections and race updates
Race organizers, timing partners, runners, and readers can send updates for dates, registration, live tracking, results, course notes, and race logistics. We review submissions for source quality before publishing changes.
Editorial independence
Marathon Scout may cover races, products, offers, or partners when they are useful for runners. Access, discounts, or comped entries do not buy positive coverage, and promotional relationships should not override source quality or runner trust.
