About the Irving Frost Marathon
The Irving Frost Marathon closes out the Irving Marathon Running Series each winter, pairing the full 26.2 with half marathon, 10K, and 5K options. Entry fees fund scholarships through the Irving Schools Foundation, and the late-December slot draws runners who want one more road marathon before the calendar turns.
Course
The route starts and finishes at the plaza outside Toyota Music Factory and moves through the Las Colinas Urban Center and along the Campion Trail. It is flat by road-marathon standards, with city streets and paved trail rather than climbs deciding the day, so even pacing pays off.
Race-day weather
Mid-December in North Texas usually means a start in the 30s or 40s with afternoons in the 50s. Cold snaps and wind are possible, but conditions are often closer to good marathon weather than most of the Texas calendar.
