About the Hot Cider Hustle Green Bay Half Marathon
This is the Green Bay stop on the Hot Cider Hustle series, and it is the one that stays closest to a downtown. Runners get city streets at the start rather than a park loop, then pick up the Fox River Trail for the long middle section. The fall-themed finish area is the reason a lot of people sign up.
Course
The start and finish are at Northland Avenue and Washington Street in downtown Green Bay. The route is entirely streets and paved path, with the Fox River Trail carrying most of the distance. There is no significant climbing, so the limiting factors are wind off the river and how much of the trail is covered in wet leaves. The cutoff is 3 hours 30 minutes.
Race-day weather
Late October in northeast Wisconsin can hand you anything from the low 30s to the low 50s. River wind is the usual complaint, and an 8:15 a.m. start means the first few miles are often the coldest of the day.
