About the Run De Pere Half Marathon
On Pace Events keeps this one small on purpose. The half fills a late autumn slot in northeast Wisconsin when most of the region's road racing is done, and the 350-runner limit means uncrowded roads and a short walk from the school doors to the start line.
Course
The loop starts and finishes at West De Pere High School and heads south of town, using Lost Dauphin Road near the Fox River before turning back north toward the school. The published elevation profile stays close to flat the whole way, so this is a rhythm course rather than a strength course. Water sits roughly every 2 miles, with Gu around mile 7.
Race-day weather
Mid November in northeast Wisconsin usually means highs in the low 40s and a start closer to freezing. Wind on the open southern roads is the variable that changes the day most, and rain or early snow is realistic. Dress for the first 3 miles, not the last 3.
