About the Cocoa Beach Half Marathon
This race has run along Florida's Space Coast since the mid-2010s and leans hard into its beach-town identity, from a start near Patrick Space Force Base to a finish on I Dream of Jeannie Lane at Lori Wilson Park. The half is paired with a 10K, and the start is timed around low tide so the beach miles stay runnable.
Course
The route heads north along closed A1A before dropping onto the sand for close to three miles of hard-packed beach running, then returns to the road for the Lori Wilson Park finish. The course is flat, but sand, humidity, and the three-hour cutoff make pacing less forgiving than a typical road half.
