About the Tom Walker Half Marathon
Team Florida Track Club runs this one off the road entirely and onto the paved Gainesville to Hawthorne trail. First Magnitude Brewing hosts the start and finish, which keeps logistics simple and gives the post race area somewhere to go.
Course
The route is a paved out and back on the rail trail, shaded for long stretches and gently graded rather than pancake flat. Passing room narrows once the field settles, so the opening miles reward patience more than the profile suggests.
