About the Fiesta De Mayo Half Marathon
Part of the Irving Marathon Group's race series, this event pairs a compact Las Colinas course with live performers stationed along the route. Entry fees fund Irving Schools Foundation scholarships for the student volunteers who work the race.
Course
The route works around Lake Carolyn and out onto Las Colinas Boulevard, which supplies the only real climbing and descending. The plaza at Toyota Music Factory handles the start, finish, and post-race area, so gear, parking, and spectators stay in one place.
Race-day weather
Mid-May in North Texas is already warm before sunrise. The 7:00 AM start typically means 70s and humid, and the boulevard sections give little shade once the field is out of the lake loop.
