About the Yerevan Marathon
As the longest race at Yerevan's major running festival, the marathon shares a central event village with several shorter distances and a broad local field.
Course
The road route starts and finishes in central Yerevan and visits the Hrazdan River gorge. The organizer lists about 300 meters of climbing over the marathon, at altitudes between 970 and 1,070 meters.
Race-day weather
October is often cool and dry, though bright sun or wind can make exposed sections warmer. Yerevan's elevation also affects runners arriving from sea level.
