About the Chuncheon International Marathon
Chuncheon is an established Korean autumn marathon organized with the city and national athletics partners. The race centers the full 42.195-kilometer distance and draws runners to Gangwon Province for a lake-focused road course. A separate 10K is part of the event but is not represented by this marathon entry.
Course
The certified marathon course forms a loop around Uiam Lake, beginning near Gongjicheon Bridge. Long waterside sections make scenery a defining feature and can also expose runners to wind. The loop format returns the field to the same central race area without relying on a distant finish transfer.
Race-day weather
Late-autumn conditions in Chuncheon can be excellent for marathoning, with cool mornings and crisp air common. Lakeside exposure can add wind, and temperatures may climb after the start under clear skies. Light layers for the corral and effort-based pacing around exposed water are sensible.
