About the Ventura Marathon
Ventura's winter marathon is designed for fast times without the extreme drop of steeper downhill races. A downtown festival follows the coastal finish.
Course
Starting on McNell Road in Ojai, the route follows the Ojai Valley and Ventura River trails toward downtown Ventura.
Race-day weather
February often brings cool starts and mild finishes, though rain, wind, or warm sun can occur. Valley shade may feel much colder than the coast.

Is Ventura Marathon a Boston qualifier?
Yes. Ventura Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Meeting the standard lets you apply but does not guarantee entry, and net-downhill courses can receive a time adjustment under current B.A.A. rules. Review the Boston qualifying times and downhill-course rules, or browse upcoming Boston qualifier marathons.
