Course
The route runs nearly straight down the paved Santa Ana River Trail, trading turns and traffic crossings for a steady descent of roughly 365 feet. Long stretches are open and quiet, so even pacing and sun management matter more than tangents. The finish sits near Huntington Beach State Park.

Late February mornings usually sit in the 40s and 50s with a marine layer that can burn off mid-race. The river trail offers little shade, so sun exposure builds late, and a dry offshore wind occasionally pushes down the corridor.
