Superhero Half Marathon

Superhero Events has staged races around Morristown since 2010, and this is the one that draws the biggest field. Capes and costumes are common enough that prizes are given for them, but the race also carries USATF 700-point wildcard status, so the front of the field takes it straight.

The start and finish are at Ginty Field, and the route stays on suburban Morris County roads. Water and sports drink stations sit roughly every 2.5 miles. The three-hour limit is enforced without exception, which is worth checking against your training pace before entering.

Early May in northern New Jersey usually means a comfortable 8:30 AM start in the 50s. Humidity is rarely the issue this early in the season, though a warm spring week can push race morning into the 70s and change how the second half feels.
