About the Smelter City Scamper Half Marathon
The Smelter City Scamper is Anaconda's community race, now led by the Anaconda Community Market with the half marathon headlining a morning that also includes a 10K, a 5K, and a one-block sprint. Race proceeds go toward food access and community health in town.
Course
All distances start and finish at Kennedy Commons in downtown Anaconda. The half runs road miles through a mountain valley that sits above 5,000 feet, so breathing and pacing feel different than at sea level even on moderate grades.
