About the Scout Mountain Ultras 50K

This is a 50K in name and a 57.7-kilometer mountain race on the ground. It gives runners the Scout Mountain high-country experience in one long day, with far more distance and climbing than a standard 50K.

Course

The 36.2-mile route opens with nearly seven miles of singletrack, climbs through a high mountain meadow, and reaches almost 8,700 feet. Total climbing and descending are each about 7,400 feet.

Race-day weather

A cool morning can turn into sun, heat, or a fast-moving storm at altitude. Snow and mud can linger on the upper course even when lower trails are dry.
