About the Reservoir Run Half Marathon
The Kiwanis Club of Weston has put on the Reservoir Run for well over a decade, and it has settled into a late-October fixture for Fairfield County runners. Proceeds go to children's and community organizations, and the small-town feel is genuine rather than manufactured.
Course
The loop leaves Weston High School and reaches the Saugatuck Reservoir at its northern end in the first half. A long downhill past the dam drops onto flat road along the Saugatuck River near Devil's Den, and the payback comes late: a sustained climb through mile 12 back up to the school. Save something for it.
