Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon

National and local tourism authorities back this established Penghu event. The marathon's island-to-island journey and finish near Xiyu's historic sites make it notably different from a conventional city loop.

A point-to-point route crosses Penghu's outer-island road network rather than returning to the start. Bridges, coastal exposure and limited shelter make logistics and wind management central to the effort.

November is cooler than Penghu's summer, but the islands remain exposed to strong seasonal wind, sun and salt air. Runners should expect conditions to change across bridges and open coastal roads.
