About the EVA Air Marathon
EVA Air's Taipei road race gives the marathon a dedicated field of several thousand runners and starts it well before sunrise. The full distance has a six-hour limit and finishes separately from its central-city start. The current marathon allocation is full, so runners should treat future entry windows as time-sensitive.
Course
The marathon begins at Presidential Office Plaza, follows central boulevards and the Xinsheng Viaduct corridor, then moves onto riverside park roads before finishing at Dajia Riverside Park. This city-to-river design mixes landmark streets with longer open sections near the water. The first wave starts at 5:10 a.m.
Race-day weather
Taipei can remain warm and humid even with a pre-dawn start. Rain is possible, and riverside sections may feel breezier than the dense central streets. The early gun limits direct sun for much of the race, but steady hydration and conservative opening kilometers still matter.
