Course
The full marathon starts at Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church and finishes at the Stone County Court Square, using streets and highways through Mountain View and Stone County. The hills are described as challenging but adventurous, so this is a strength-and-patience road marathon rather than a flat PR course.
Race-day weather
Late March in the Ozarks can flip quickly between chilly calm and damp wind. On rural Arkansas roads, even modest weather changes can feel bigger once you are out on open terrain.
