Course
The half runs through Cheshire and Hamden, including substantial mileage on the Farmington Canal Trail. Few major elevation changes make the route suited to controlled, even pacing.
Race-day weather
April in central Connecticut can be cool, rainy or unexpectedly mild. The canal trail may feel sheltered in places, while open road segments can expose runners to wind.
