About the Hyundai Porto Half Marathon
Porto's dedicated September half draws a large field to the Douro waterfront and is distinct from the city's November marathon weekend. The race balances a quick road layout with an urban sightseeing feel, making it useful for both time goals and a destination weekend.
Course
The single-loop 21.095K course starts and finishes on Avenida de Dom Carlos I. It follows mostly flat city and riverfront roads, passes recognizable Porto scenery including the Dom Luis I bridge area, and supplies kilometer markers plus regular water support. The limit is three hours.
Race-day weather
September can bring mild early conditions followed by stronger sun and warmth. River exposure may add wind, while humidity can make an apparently comfortable temperature feel harder late in the race.
