Georgina Marathon
Georgina Marathon follows a flat lakeside Ontario course designed for fast times, giving autumn runners a certified route and explicit Boston qualifying focus.
Quick facts
- Flat certified lakeside course
- Explicit Boston qualifying race
- Lake Simcoe setting in York Region
- Exposed shoreline where wind direction shapes pacing
About the Georgina Marathon
The York Region event treats the marathon and half marathon as separate race products within one weekend. The race emphasizes speed, certification and a supportive small-city setting.
Course
The road route stays close to Lake Simcoe on a notably flat measured profile. Long level stretches favor even splits, though wind off the lake can determine whether goal pace feels sustainable.
Race-day weather
Mid-September in Georgina may start cool and calm before warming, with rain or lakeside wind possible. The exposed shoreline makes wind direction an important pacing factor.

Is Georgina Marathon a Boston qualifier?
Yes. Georgina Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Meeting the standard lets you apply but does not guarantee entry, and net-downhill courses can receive a time adjustment under current B.A.A. rules.
