About the Capital City River Run Half Marathon

Course
The half starts on Michigan Avenue in front of the Lansing Center and finishes downtown near Grand Avenue and Adado Park. The route links city streets with the eight mile Lansing River Trail, running past Potter Park Zoo, Crego Park, and Hawk Island on tree-lined pavement and pedestrian bridges. Surfaces are paved throughout and the profile stays close to flat.
Race-day weather
Mid September mornings in mid-Michigan usually start in the 50s and warm through the race. Expect cool river air early, occasional fog over the trail sections, and a real chance of rain.
