Course
Well marked forest and lakeshore singletrack at Proud Lake Recreation Area, with rolling hills and generally smooth footing. It is approachable by trail standards, though wet leaves and freeze thaw ruts can make the middle miles slower than the profile looks. Parking sits next to the start at the Modern Campground.
Race-day weather
Late November here means cold air and short daylight, often in the 30s. The 11 a.m. start buys a few degrees, but a dusting of snow or a hard frost on the trail is normal.
