About the Yokohama Marathon

This major Japanese city marathon starts and finishes around Pacifico Yokohama. Thousands of volunteers, frequent aid, and local food stations turn the event into a broad civic festival.

Course

The mostly flat road route passes the Red Brick Warehouse and bayfront before spending substantial time on the Metropolitan Expressway. Ramps, banked pavement, and limited expressway spectators complicate the middle miles.

Race-day weather

Late October is often mild but can remain humid, rainy, or warm. Bay wind and sun exposure on the expressway are the largest environmental variables.
