About the Fukuoka Marathon
Fukuoka Marathon is a large citizen race distinct from the elite-only Fukuoka International Marathon. It links Fukuoka City with Itoshima and uses a lottery to manage demand for one of Kyushu's most popular marathon entries.
Course
The point-to-point course starts in Tenjin and heads west toward an Itoshima finish, shifting from dense city streets to more open coastal scenery. The later miles are less sheltered, so runners should save energy for wind and small profile changes.
Race-day weather
Early November is typically mild to cool, though coastal wind and direct sun can raise effort outside the city. Conditions can vary noticeably between the urban start and open finish area.
