About the Ultra-Trail Mount Yun UMY 100M
UMY 100M is Ultra-Trail Mount Yun by UTMB's longest race and a major Chinese 100-miler. The course blends a demanding endurance test with ancient villages, temples and southern Shanxi landscapes.
Course
From Mingzhu Square in Xiangning, runners cross hills, valleys, terraced fields and old settlements before finishing at Zhonghe Square. The 161-kilometre route gains 6,500 metres through Loess and Taiyue terrain.
Race-day weather
Mid-October usually brings cool, dry autumn conditions, but a 48-hour race spans sunny afternoons and much colder nights. Wind on open hills and large temperature swings reward flexible layering.
