About the Tour de La Porte Half Marathon

Course
The half runs a certified loop that starts at Cummings Lodge in Soldiers Memorial Park and uses paved park roads and bike trails around La Porte. The 6:45 am start gets most of the field done before the day heats up.

Late August in northern Indiana can be warm and humid by mid-morning. The early start and shaded park sections help, but runners should still plan fluids as if it were a summer race.
