About the Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon

The current Top of Utah Marathon differs from the older canyon-downhill identity many runners remember. Its 2026 edition is based in downtown Logan and hosts the USATF Utah marathon championship.

Course

The present course starts and finishes downtown and uses mostly flat roads and paths on Logan's west side. This is materially different from the historic point-to-point Blacksmith Fork Canyon route.

Race-day weather

September in Cache Valley can start cold and dry, then warm quickly in direct sun. Open west-side miles may be windy.
