About the Skyline Mountain Marathon
This Ogden Valley mountain marathon is the full-distance option within the Skyline weekend. A 5 a.m. start acknowledges the scale of the climbing and the long day many runners will face.
Course
The roughly 27-mile trail route gains nearly 5,000 feet between North Fork Park and Eden. Ridgeline running, steep grades and technical descents make this a mountain race rather than a road-style full.
Race-day weather
August in the Wasatch can start cool before strong sun and heat build, with afternoon thunderstorms possible. Exposed ridges magnify wind and leave little shelter from changing weather.
