About the Rhode Island Half Marathon
Run Rhody's spring half starts and finishes at Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence and leans on one of the state's best running corridors, the East Bay Bike Path. The half field is capped at 2,000, which keeps the path manageable and gives the race a defined size rather than an open-ended one.
Course
The USATF-certified route heads out along Veterans Memorial Parkway and returns on the East Bay Bike Path, with stretches of Narragansett Bay and the Providence skyline in view. It is a flat, paved out-and-back layout with a stadium start and finish, and the cutoff is 3.5 hours.
Race-day weather
Mid-May in Rhode Island usually starts in the 50s and can climb toward 70 by late morning. The bike path offers some shade, but a bay breeze on open sections is common.
