About the Queeny Backyard Ultra

Queeny Backyard Ultra brings the last-runner-standing format to a major metropolitan park. Its 4.19-mile yard starts each hour and combines an accessible race base with enough climbing to punish rushed pacing.

Course

The counterclockwise yard combines wide pavement, hard-packed stone and gravel, plus a short dirt section. Roughly 430 feet of ascent and descent per loop make it substantially hillier than a flat road backyard.

Race-day weather

Early March around St. Louis is highly variable. Runners may see cold rain, wind, mud, ice or a mild afternoon, so footwear and layers need to handle changing conditions over many yards.
