About the Panama International Marathon
Panama International Marathon is the flagship event of the Corredores del Istmo running club. The weekend includes the marathon, half marathon, shorter road races, and relay, with the full drawing runners into a hot and humid endurance test.
Course
The organizer publishes a dedicated 42K map for the marathon rather than borrowing the half-marathon route. It is a city road race, and the combination of long exposed sections, early humidity, and heat management usually matters more than small changes in elevation.
Race-day weather
November falls near the end of Panama City's wet season. Expect high humidity from the start, warm temperatures, and a real chance of showers, with even cloud cover doing little to reduce the heat load late in the race.
