About the Nutmeg State Marathon

Hartford hosts the Connecticut day of STAR Racing's New England Challenge II. The full marathon is separately timed and suited to runners who value simple logistics over a one-lap city tour.

Course

Marathoners complete 12 certified loops in Goodwin Park. The format keeps aid, crews and drop-bag access close, but repeated turns and lap counting become part of the challenge.

Race-day weather

Late May in Hartford often brings mild morning temperatures with a chance of warmth, humidity or rain later. Loop runners can adjust layers and hydration without carrying everything from the start.
