About the New Years Double Marathon
Participants may choose either marathon or take on the two-day double across New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Separate finishes and a combined-event incentive reward runners who return for day two.
Course
Each marathon uses a four-loop layout in Allen. The repeated circuit simplifies aid and spectating, but the changed course has not been recertified, so it is not intended as a Boston qualifying route.
Race-day weather
North Texas at New Year can be crisp and fast or unexpectedly warm, windy and wet. Two-day runners should bring layers for different conditions and manage recovery between starts.
