About the New Forest Marathon
The New Forest weekend offers several distances from a shared event village. The marathon gives the broadest tour of the national park landscape.
Course
The mixed-surface route uses closed roads, tracks, and forest paths around Brockenhurst. Repeated rollers and changing footing make it slower than a flat road marathon.
Race-day weather
September can be mild and dry or wet underfoot. Exposed heath warms in sun, while shaded woodland may remain cool and slippery after rain.
