About the Marathon d'Ajaccio
Marathon d'Ajaccio is the island's standalone full-distance road race, organized by ASPTT Ajaccio Athletisme. Its French Athletics label and coastal setting give it a stronger competitive identity than its modest field might suggest.
Course
From central Ajaccio, runners head toward La Parata and return while staying on the sea side of the road. The profile is rolling rather than flat, with intermediate cutoffs before a five-hour finish limit.
Race-day weather
Early spring on Corsica is often mild, but exposed coastal sections can bring sea wind, sun, or a passing shower. Cool opening miles can become noticeably warmer on the return toward Ajaccio.
