About the Lake Tahoe Marathon
The Sunday Lake Tahoe Marathon is the original full marathon of a three-day running festival. Runners can enter it alone or as the final stage of the Tahoe Triple.
Course
The point-to-point course starts south of Homewood and travels toward South Lake Tahoe, with forest, lake overlooks, and substantial elevation change. It finishes at Lakeside Beach.
Race-day weather
October at Tahoe can bring freezing morning air, strong sun, wind, rain, or early snow. High altitude magnifies both cold and dehydration.
