Kishu Kuchikumano is a regional road marathon based in Kamitonda, at the gateway to the Kumano area. The event keeps the full distance distinct from its half and smaller divisions and favors a practical community-race atmosphere.

Course

A morning road race and six-hour limit define the full marathon. Separate distance divisions share the regional event program, but the full and half are no longer conducted as certified race divisions.

Race-day weather

Early February in Wakayama usually brings a chilly start and comparatively mild daytime conditions. Wind or rain can make the morning feel colder, while sunshine may produce a noticeable warm-up by midday.
