About the Jump Off Joe Marathon

This eastern Washington race favors rugged simplicity over urban spectacle. The marathon is separately entered alongside a half and 10K, and remains distinct from Kennewick's Run the River Marathon.

Course

Mountainous gravel roads climb and descend through the hills beyond Kennewick for 26.2 miles. Loose surface, sustained grades and exposure make the effort closer to a trail race than a paved full.

Race-day weather

Early September in the Tri-Cities is often dry, sunny and warm, with wind across open slopes. A cool start can give way quickly to heat, so water and sun protection matter.
