About the Maraton İzmir
İzmir's municipal marathon brings the full distance and shorter races to Turkey's Aegean coast. The waterfront setting keeps much of the course visually open.
Course
The road route uses Kordon and other coastal arteries around the gulf. Limited climbing favors rhythm, while turnarounds, sun, and sea breeze supply the main resistance.
