Türkiye İş Bankası Istanbul Marathon

Istanbul Marathon is defined by its Asia-to-Europe crossing and the scale of running through one of the world's great historic cities. Marathon entry requires a recent qualifying result, and the event can sell out well before race week.

The race starts on the Asian side, crosses the Bosphorus Bridge almost immediately, and continues through rolling European-side streets toward a historic-city finish. Early excitement makes restraint on the bridge and first hills especially useful.

Early November can bring mild temperatures, rain, or a noticeable Bosphorus wind. The mix of exposed waterfront and sheltered streets makes conditions feel different across the course.
