About the Horse Capital Marathon
Lexington's horse country is the point of this marathon, not just a backdrop. The full shares race day with a half but follows its own long tour of working farms and rural Bluegrass roads.

Rolling pavement passes more than 50 horse farms around Lexington. Frequent rises discourage rigid pace targets, while long rural stretches and a six-hour limit reward steady effort.
