Quick facts

  • Half marathon fields run several hundred deep, with 10K and 5K starts from the same park.
  • Rolling neighborhood roads through the first half, then five greenway miles that flatten the finish.
  • Ruck divisions run the same course under a 3 hour 30 minute cutoff.
  • Cold, dry conditions are the norm for the late November slot.

Course

The start drops downhill out of Ting Park before the rolling Anchor Creek section sets the tone in the first mile. Half marathoners then loop south through Bridgewater, Sunset Ridge, the historic district and a figure eight in Womble Park, doubling back around mile 7 into five flatter greenway miles with turnarounds at each end.

Race-day weather

Late November mornings here usually start in the 30s or low 40s with low humidity. It is cold enough at the line to want throwaway layers and mild enough by the greenway miles to run hard.
