About the HaWei50

HaWei50 is organized by Laufsportgemeinschaft Weiher and pairs an open ultramarathon with the German 50 km road championship. Its compact Hardtsee setting keeps runners close to the event base throughout the race, while the measured road course makes even pacing and lap management central to the day.

Course

Ten laps of a flat, measured 5 km circuit make up the 50 km race. The route circles the Hardtsee recreation area on roads closed to public traffic, returning through the start and finish zone on every lap. The repeated circuit gives crews and spectators regular access without changing the fixed-distance race identity.

Race-day weather

Late winter in Baden-Württemberg can bring cold air, low cloud, and damp pavement. The exposed lakeside sections may feel colder in wind, so runners should plan for layers that can be adjusted over repeated laps.
