About the Ekeberg Backyard Ultra
Ekeberg brings an open-ended backyard to a central Oslo park with a strong national pathway. Runners repeat 6.7 kilometers every hour until one person completes a final solo loop.
Course
Roughly one third trail, one third dirt road and one third tarmac, with grass also in the surface mix. About 101 meters of gain per yard and views over Oslo make this a scenic but accumulating climb.
Race-day weather
March in Oslo can remain wintry, with freezing temperatures, snow, ice and cold wind all possible. Surface conditions may change between exposed tarmac, gravel and shaded trail over the race.
