About the Blackbeard's Revenge 100
Trivium Racing's point-to-point 100 miler crosses the entire Outer Banks, starting in Corolla and finishing in Hatteras village. A 100K and team relay divisions share the route, and the race draws runners and ruckers who want a fully paved ultra with water close on both sides of the road for much of the day.
Course
The route follows paved coastal roads south along the barrier islands, flat except for bridge crossings, with long exposed stretches between towns. There is no technical terrain to slow the field, so the race becomes a test of pacing, crewing, and how well runners handle wind off the Atlantic.
Race-day weather
Late March on the Outer Banks is usually mild, but conditions swing fast on the barrier islands. Headwinds and crosswinds are the defining variable, and rain or raw coastal air can show up in any year.
