About the Big Wolf's Backyard Arctic

This Lévis edition applies the open-ended backyard format to a Québec winter. Runners repeat 6.706 kilometers every hour with no shorter timed option, using a heated indoor base between bells.

Course

The single repeated yard follows specially prepared, hard-packed snow trails at Sentiers La Balade. Minimal climbing keeps the focus on footing, cold management and maintaining rhythm through darkness.

Race-day weather

Deep-winter conditions can bring sustained subfreezing temperatures, wind and fresh snow. Hard-packed footing may change with traffic, and exposed skin or damp clothing can become limiting over repeated hours.
