About the Beachy Head Marathon

Formerly the Seven Sisters Marathon, Beachy Head is one of Britain's best-known off-road marathons. The event welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers to a demanding South Downs circuit.

Course

The trail route leaves Eastbourne for Jevington, Alfriston, and Litlington before following the Cuckmere and climbing the Seven Sisters. More than 300 steps, 14 gates, and repeated descents shape the day.

Race-day weather

Late October on the Sussex coast can be cool, wet, windy, and muddy. Exposed cliff-top sections may feel much colder than sheltered valleys.
