About the Amman Marathon Half Marathon
Run Jordan stages the half alongside its flagship marathon, relay and 10K. The half has its own 21 km competition identity and brings runners onto central streets that are normally busy with traffic.
Course
The route uses central Amman roads and finishes its race-day experience around the Roman Amphitheatre. Amman's terrain is rarely flat, so runners should pace the repeated rises rather than expect an even split course.
Race-day weather
Early October mornings in Amman are usually dry and mild, with strong sun becoming more noticeable later in the morning. The city's elevation can make the start feel cool before temperatures rise.
